We all go through difficult seasons in life, how can Covenant come alongside you?

There are seasons in life when you could use a little extra care and support and direction! Maybe you are hurting after a loss, trying to get a handle on your finances, or want to break free from a habit that is holding you captive. You need a secure place to heal and grow, some trusted advisors to provide counsel or accountability or maybe you are looking for God’s perspective as you face a challenging transition or circumstance.

Christmas Care Tree

Sponsor a local child for Christmas this year!

As the holiday season approaches, many families in our community are facing financial struggles and unable to afford Christmas gifts for their children.  Covenant Church is responding to this need through its “Christmas Care Tree” project which helps fulfill gift wishes of 80 children in the Barclay school community.  Help us brighten the season for these families by sponsoring a child and purchasing needed gifts of clothing and toys.

To participate, simply stop by the “Christmas Care Tree” in the front lobby and select an ornament which describes the child and their gift wish list. Once you’ve purchased these items, return the unwrapped gifts to the large holiday boxes in the Church lobby. More detailed information is available by the Care Tree.

Consider what a great Christmas giving opportunity this could be for families to help other families. Or maybe a group project for Bible study or small groups by sponsoring an entire family. The joy is in the giving, so let’s join together through the love of Jesus and make this Covenant project a huge success for our neighbors in need!  All gifts due Monday, December 13th.

We have a number of caring and skilled individuals available to provide 1-to-1 Care.

Whether it’s a Stephen Minister, Elder, member of the Mercy Team or staff member, or helping you find a professional counselor, you don’t have to struggle alone.

It is our desire for this to be a “Room of Grace” - -a place where you will find unconditional love and acceptance without judgement; a safe and confidential place for anyone who is hurting, confused or struggling and looking for some peace and sanity in their life. We want to help you experience freedom from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and, most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

The Code Blue Project provides overnight shelter when the temperature is below 26 degrees or there is a prediction of excessive precipitation. If you or someone that you know is in need of shelter when the weather becomes threatening, please call the The Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless who is running The Code Blue Project to help find a location, ride, or volunteer to help.

The Code Blue Project season runs from December 1 through March 31.

God treasures unity. Speaking of His people, God desires that “they may be one even as we are one” (John 17). God treasures diversity (Revelation 7:9). God also treasures unity in diversity (Acts 2, Colossians 3:9-11).  May we learn to treasure what God treasures!
