We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Position:   STUDENT MINISTRY ASSOCIATE  (paid internship, 40 hours / week, 1 year commitment)
Position Responsibilities: 
· Work under the direction of the Pastor to Students to provide leadership, direction and oversight to the Student Ministry Department  
· Engage and interact with Volunteer Leaders, Parents, and Students
· Lead and execute weekly programs, SHIFT (Middle School), and assist with CRAVE (High School) including teaching Bible lessons
· Plan, execute and participate in Student Ministry special events
· Participate in recruiting and training volunteer leaders
· Assist in the planning of the ministry’s scope and sequence
· Develop student small groups
· Provide leadership to the assimilation of new students
· Assist Pastor to Students with creation and management of budget 
· Learn systems of communications and execute them in a team setting
· Attend Student Ministry and Church Staff meetings as required. 
· Assist Student Pastor with leading lead meetings, overseeing and leading student gatherings, pastoral care as needed. 

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Authentic and approachable.
• Highly relational (caring, personable, genuine on an individual level)
• Teaching gifts that are Biblical and Gospel-centered that particularly engage and connect teens through various use of contemporary media
• Possess a passion and heart for students.
• Active member of a local church body (large group, small group, serving)
• Experience working with student - 2 years’ experience or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated team player; understand importance of communication throughout the organization as a valuable tool in creating unity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position: Children’s Ministry Associate (Fulltime)

Position Responsibilities: 
-Collaborate with CM Pastor concerning the vision of Children’s Ministries and the methods for implementing strategy
-Assist in the recruitment of CM Volunteers – and subsequently, assist in the mentoring, training, shepherding, thanking, and caring for these volunteers
-Oversee a particular area of CM (like Z56) by coordinating with the CM Pastor concerning events, curriculum choices, structure, and training; acting as point-person for that group of volunteers
-Assist as point person on Sunday mornings (for Sunday’s children’s programs) and Wednesday evenings (for the mid-week elementary school program) as needed
-Oversee Saturday night services directly – scheduling volunteers, prepping classrooms, troubleshooting
-Interview and train Youth Assistants who wish to volunteer in CM
-Assist in events for teachers and children (Teacher trainings/appreciation dinners, SHAPE fair/father-son, mother-daughter events/service opportunities; CM events: picnics, camp-outs, game nights, parent seminars, parties, etc.)
    Administrative Duties:
-Oversee the maintenance of the classrooms (replenishing supplies, cleaning up materials, assisting in changing bulletin boards, and setting up for the upcoming services)
-Maintain the master list of volunteers and oversee the weekly schedule, finding subs as needed
-Organize and maintain the curriculum closet, providing input regarding the curriculum materials and supplies – ordering and restocking supplies as needed
-Maintain the database of children and families, following up with the children as needed

Qualifications/Skills Required: 1-2 years of experience in children and/or family ministry of Christian Education.  Possess excellent computer, organization and communication skills.  A positive team player, self-motivated individual committed to excellence. Demonstrate character, core values and lifestyle compatible with a Christ-centered ministry and be willing the embrace the mission and strategic plans of Covenant Church.
