Z56: Grades 5-6
IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO Z45 ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27th. It is our practice to expose the 5th and 6th graders to adult worship so when they graduate from Z56 they will seamlessly move to worshiping with their families. Usually we join worship in the overflow area of the café in conjunction with our lesson. However, occasionally we encourage the Z56ers to worship with their families. Such is the case on November 27th. There will be no Z56 class on November 27th at either service. Fifth and Sixth Grade Students should attend service with their families.
We love to welcome newcomers! If you are new, we will have a registration form for you to fill out when you arrive. Feel free to come when you can and bring friends along!
We ask that children leave cell phones and electronics at home so they can focus on building relationships. We have various games and activities for the students (including video games at times)...so that all the kids can have fun while making friends!
What We're All About:
Z56 is designed to bridge the gap between our elementary and middle school ministries by meeting the unique needs of our preteens.
What We Do:
Learning happens best when students participate in small group discussions guided by mature and Godly leaders. Students come on Sunday mornings during either service to hear about a new topic in the large-group setting then they break into small groups to discuss the topic. The small-group format is meant to provide a platform for the students to talk about real-life issues and gain a Christ-centered perspective on how to handle these issues.
Z56 Adventure meets Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00 PM - 7:30pm at Covenant (taking a break over the summer). Z56 Adventure is a casual place for students to come and enjoy building relationships with each other and Jesus. There is a time of recreation and small group Bible study and discussion.
Special events and service opportunities take place throughout the year, and are available to students who come Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, or both!
