Child Safety

Our Commitment to Safety

Jesus said: Let the little children come unto me...This was an astounding statement at the time! Jesus honored children by including them in the community. We at Covenant want to honor the children among us too. We do this by caring for them, teaching them, and ensuring all of the children are kept safe.  Because your child’s safety is a top priority, we have implemented a variety of safety measures.

Let the little children come unto me...

Covenant requires thorough background checks on all volunteers (State and National Criminal and Child Abuse background checks are done). Those volunteers are trained regularly regarding child abuse prevention & detection as well as safety & health procedures.

  • We have a computer check-in system designed to provide your child with a name tag and the parent with a claim ticket.  Only the person with a claim ticket matching the child’s name tag can pick up that child.
  • All of the classrooms are kept clean: toys and surfaces are sanitized.
  • Snacks are all peanut-free.
  • We welcome parents to visit their children's classroom, but we do ask that you stop by the Children's Welcome Desk to receive a visitor's tag and any instructions specific to your child's classroom.
