Why 'Just Love'

This clear call to action reminds us that we, as Christians are called to do something, to JUST LOVE. Realizing that we have been given much, most of all salvation through Jesus Christ, it is our desire and calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the “least of these.” 1John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.” Our inclination to love and care for children and families we have never met is based on a response to Him who loves us perfectly first. Micah 6:8 says, “He has showed you , O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” The ability to extend justice and mercy flow from the Source of perfect love. Whether it’s becoming an adoptive family, a foster family, or a Safe Family, caring for and supporting those families, going on a mission trip to minister to children and families in need, or engaging in activities here to help raise awareness and support for them, God calls AND enables us all to JUST LOVE.

Just Love has partnered with Lifesong for Orphans to help as many children and families experience the blessing of adoption as resources permit. Contact Beth Earl.

Adoption Support Group
A ladies group that meets monthly to better love, serve and care for the children God has brought into our lives. Contact Michelle Munari.

Foster Care

Safe Families for Children
SFFC seeks to come alongside a family by providing a loving family for their children to stay with until a crisis has passed. You can help by offering Biblical hospitality, being a mentor and helping those who do.

Volunteers are trained and agree to the placement of a child at their own discretion. The average length of stay is 45 days, but it can be less or possibly more depending on the individual circumstance. Safe families include singles, married couples with children of any age, and empty nesters, all of whom simply decided to make room in their hearts and homes for children in need. Contact Deb Rosica.

Orphan Care

Orphan care is biblical. It is close to our hearts because it is close to God’s heart. We are commited to making James 1:27 tangible in response to what God did for us as spiritual orphans. God is about big things throughout the world, and we are excited about being invested in spreading the good news of his grace in very practical ways. Come be a part of a global effort to reach those on the margins with the love of Christ.

There are many ways that everyone can get involved including a Connected For Care book club, Little Dresses for Africa sewing events, Orphan Sunday weekend, collecting supplies for orphanages, and mission trips. Contact Kristin Burleigh.

We love because he first loved us.
